An archaeological assessment of this development site was carried out on 21 April 1997. The site lies outside the medieval town of Dublin as depicted on Rocque’s map (1756). Middle Gardiner Street, the oldest part of Gardiner Street, was laid out c. 1787.
Three mechanically excavated trenches were opened. No archaeological soils or features were recovered.
