1992 saw the 2nd season of work undertaken by the Achill Archaeological Summer School in the settlement known locally as the Deserted Village. Survey of the village and the surrounding historic and prehistoric landscape continued, with a small area opened up in the haggard associated with the house selected for detailed study last year. Some topsoil finds of iron and crockery were recovered.
