Construction of the Maynooth – Leixlip – Kilcock Motorway Scheme necessitated the investigation which took place during a three-week period in August 1989. The reference to a well at the site led to the investigation of the surrounding area. No material of archaeological importance was uncovered at the site. A watching brief will take place during motorway construction. Work was financed by Kildare County Council. To be published in 1991, in the Journal of the Kildare Archaeological Society.
