Testing was carried out on the proposed site of a house to the north of ringfort CO143-026 in March 2013; no archaeological finds or features were found. It was concluded that there would be a minimal visual impact by the proposed development on the ringfort given that the character of the landscape in the area had been considerably altered in the recent past. A buffer zone of 11.1m around the ringfort was recommended and that the development could proceed without any further archaeological intervention.
