Monitoring of a house development with ancillary works occurred in a greenfield area at Clonough, Inch, Gorey, on 23 November 2008. The site was located on a west-facing slope that fell to the Clonough River 80m to the west. Much of the north-north-east corner was composed of the remains of a small quarry. Its southerly expansion beyond that delineated on the second-edition 6-inch OS map is evidence of it having been worked within the last 60 years. There were two monuments in the vicinity of the site, WX003–021, the site of a graveyard, and WX003–030, St Michael’s Well, now delisted. The monitoring revealed no archaeological or historical features.
