One 40m-long test-trench was excavated on the line of a proposed sewer and percolation area in a small field to the north of the ruins of Convamore House (CO034–034(01)) and a well-preserved stable yard. The excavated material consisted of a mid-brown sandy material with moderate stone inclusions, which was up to 0.55m deep. The subsoil consisted of an orangey-brown sandy clay with occasional small stones and very occasional gravel inclusions. No features of archaeological interest were noted during the excavations.
