Testing was undertaken at Main Street, Jamestown, as part of granted planning permission to build an extension to a dwelling house. The development site was within the confines of the walled town of Jamestown. Two test-trenches were opened on the site. There was extensive disturbance in both trenches, including services extending along both openings. No archaeological remains were uncovered in the course of testing works.
