Monitoring of rubble clearance and groundworks associated with a proposed development was undertaken intermittently. This lies inside the zone of potential for the medieval town of Limerick, SMR 5:17. It is also partially over the perceived line of Irishtown’s 17th-century defences. Nothing of an archaeological nature was noted during the monitoring.
