An assessment excavation was undertaken ahead of housing development.
Several truncated features were uncovered in different parts of the site. At the north was a circular, concave-sectioned pit approximately 1m in diameter and filled with charcoal, with an adjacent posthole and a curving, clay-filled gully. Further south was a disturbed mound of charcoal and scorched stones several metres long, possibly the remains of a fulacht fiadh. Work was hampered by unsupervised topsoil-stripping prior to the investigation.
