Monitored topsoil-stripping was undertaken at Ballyness Caravan Park on 26 and 27 April 2007. The stratigraphic sequence across the large majority of the site consisted of undisturbed subsoil underlying topsoil. At the southern end of the site a small number of subsoil-cut features were identified. Investigation of these, however, indicated that they were the results of modern agricultural activity. No archaeological deposits were uncovered during the monitoring of this site.

Editor’s note: Although excavated during 2007, the report on this site arrived too late for inclusion in the bulletin of that year.
