Monitoring was carried out at Townparks, Tuam, Co. Galway, in 2006 and early 2007. The proposed development is part of the Tuam Serviced Land Initiative and involved the installation of sewage and drainage pipes along a corridor to the north-west of the town. Although there are some monuments in the general area of the scheme as a whole, there were none known to exist in the immediate vicinity of the site as monitored. Much of the construction work was carried out in existing carriageway. Nothing of archaeological significance was noted during the course of monitoring.
