Testing was undertaken in response to a planning condition at Legan, Thomastown. The proposed development site was located adjacent to KK028–026, Legan Castle (site of). The development area lies partially within the area of constraint for this monument. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered. Subsequent monitoring of the foundations excavations for the proposed development also revealed nothing of archaeological significance.
