Monitoring of overburden removal was conducted between 19 and 21 July 2005. A brick well was uncovered located c. 12m from the south-east edge of the site. It measured 0.55m in diameter and was c. 7m deep. The walls of the well consisted of 19th-century red brick and were of mortar topped with three courses of stone.
