Monitoring on-site revealed 18th-century garden features; on excavation, the foundations of a Georgian building that stood for no more than 30 years were revealed. In addition to the associated garden features, there was evidence for a possible walled garden. Three wells were found, one of which, given its dimensions, might potentially have been associated with the site of a Cistercian abbey (SMR 10:26) located just beyond the eastern boundary of the development site.
